Music

If you’re here you’re not in for much excitement … yet. This will be the home for all my musical projects present and past, when I get around to it – maybe soon!

In the meantime here’s a bio and some sort of musical timeline that needs two years added to it and ordering reversed. Why lead with Alan Thicke when you can save him for last?

In any case, thanks for the interest and peruse the homepage for more breadcrumbs or call me sometime why don’t you?

Geoff Marshall – Artist Bio

Geoff Marshall was born in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, in the 60’s and spent his childhood immersed in music.  His parents had a part-time top 40 combo which meant their home was filled with music and song.  His first live performance took place on the Ookpik Winter Carnival stage, in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, at the age of 5, harmonizing with his 4 siblings.  By the time Geoff was 13, he had learned guitar and registered his first rock opera with SOCAN.

Geoff’s creative trajectory has encompassed several musical genres as well as film, stage and animation projects.  His music has been heard in TV, film and commercials and his illustrations and imagery have appeared in national publications, major network television and earned him 2 nominations for best visual effects from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.  Geoff Marshall’s reputation as a”renaissance artist” crosses many boundaries and disciplines.

Geoff is a singer, composer, story-teller, and guitarist who has played in post-punk, psychedelic, reggae, dance hall, electronic, and country bands; who even wrote a sci-fi opera.  A well-known illustrator and artist, he also co-founded Exclaim! Magazine.

Geoff knew from an early age that he was destined to be an entertainer and storyteller.  To date, he has over 300 original songs in his catalog.
